SHORTCUTS '12 Festival Night on again which means you get to see ten of the hottest short films made by Western Sydney's young filmmakers.
Up for grabs for the finalists of the festival this year are cash prizes, DVDs, film festival passes, magazine subscriptions, books, courses, photography sets, free studio time, a production internship and more!
The festival prize categories this year are Best Film, Audience Choice, Best Story, Best Performance, Best Cinematography/Animation, Best Sound/Music, and Best Editing.
The great panel of judges this year features some noteworthy names in the industry. Highly regarded director, Lynn-Maree Danzey (All Saints and Packed to the Rafters) Acclaimed producer, Martin Fabinyl (Chopper and Wolf Creek) Accomplished writer and producer, Peter Herbert of Firebreak Productions. And acclaimed producer Enzo Tedschi (The Tunnel and Food Matters)
Also this year is extra special as we are hosting the festival Night in the Old Cinema space in the Fairfield Forum. The cinema has been closed for many years, leaving a huge empty space. For one night PYT will revive its cinema past before it gets handed onto its new tenants.
